Paddy MacLoon, the main force behind Prefab Sprout can write lush, adult pop like nobody's bidness. Along with bands such as the Blue Nile, they give us music lovers older than 25 something to listen to without wincing. For alot of great music for your money, check out "Jordan the Comeback," a song cycle about Elvis, the bible and the celebratory feeling when you hear great music.

Another recent one, "Andromeda Heights", is also gorgeous.

I have to say, though, that the newest one (The Gunman and other Stories) suffers from Paddy trying too hard to tie all the songs together to the wild west theme...still, some good songs there.
