I feel so alone.

Not many of my contemporaries (me being a white guy of 48) are into rap, much less Public Enemy, the best hip hop group of it's generation in my opinion.

I can remember hearing Run-DMC for the first time long ago and loving it, later getting into others like De La Soul, Disposable Heroes of Hiphopracy (later Spearhead), Third Base, Beastie Boys and others.

Public Enemy, though, had an energy and ferocity (without resorting to gangster tactics) that seemed unmatched at the time. I've incorporated their logo into tons of art, you'll see just a few to the right, including comic book art and single paintings. Chuck D also has a very entertaining and informative book out called "Fight the Power."

Now, a new chapter is about to begin...I am working with a member of Chuck's new band, Fine Arts Militia, which will take Chuck's work to a new level...I have heard some tracks and it is really good.

Their site is awesome as well, and maintained and run by the band!
