When founding member Mark Olson left the Jayhawks after 3 great albums, many thought the band would dissolve. I say thee nay! They came back with "The Sound of Lies," an amazing collection of songs straying slightly here and there from the established Jayhawks "formula" of countryish harmonies. I played this album to death, and still continue to get something out of each listen. It's a crime they aren't more popular. You can help, go buy the damn album!.
Their new release, "Smile," is very good too...but "Sound of Lies" is unparalleled.
