




Neil Finn, ex member of both Split Enz and Crowded House is now making fabulous records on his own. So far, we have Try Whistling This, One Nil and the new live one, 7 Worlds Collide. I was lucky, very lucky, to see him at the great Coach House in San Juan Capistrano recently, and met him before the show to give him the painting you see to the right. He was really nice, down to earth, thankful and complimentary.
It was a spectacular show, with a great band. Though I can't remember the name of the rest of the band, I do know a couple of my favorites were there playing with him; Lisa Germano and Wendy Melvoin (Prince, Wendy and Lisa, etc), plus a guest starring role as the mysterious stranger played by Eddie Vedder.
I also talked to Lisa Germano a bit as well, and she was equally nice. The concert photos you see are obviously crappy, but that's the way it goes. I didn't want to be intrusive, and was sitting in a booth up above the stage which didn't have the most candid view.
