I've liked Bruce Cockburn for a long time now. I think I remember first seeing and hearing his video for "...Rocket Launcher," and that made me want to check him out more. I had heard "Wondering Where the Lions Are," but I guess I was just not as enlightened at that point as I became later.
I met Bruce after a show on the "Burning Light" tour and gave him a painting I had done of him and he accepted with a gratitude and grace you can see in his music. And volume! What does he have now, close to 25 releases out? I have listened to "You've Never Seen Everything," endlessly, and it is, as they always are, an incredible assemblage of songs. Check out the long, atmospheric slow rant of the title track. He is where brains and heart meet. There is now a new one out as well.
