David Baerwald, ex of David and David (who I hear are working on a new release), writes scathing political rants...and tender love songs. His first release, "Bedtime Stories," isn't quite as politically overt as the second release, "Triage," but still stings now and then.

"Triage," however, has some stinging indictments of the president in power at the time, George Bush, as well as commentary on topical subjects of the time. And darn cool melodies to boot.

Recently, David released Songs from the New Folk Underground...nice stuff, some really pretty songs...god, let's hope he continues recording!
